A Permanent Revolution Wiki

Edward Ochab was a Polish Communist revolutionary and a prominent leader of the Polish Communist Party.

Repeatedly imprisoned for his activities and angered by the actions of Nazi Germany, Ochab incited a Communist revolution within Poland, with the backing of the Soviet government, beginning in his home city of Kraków. Nazi Germany, fearing the creation of a socialist state on its borders, invaded Poland to crush the uprising. Ochab and most of the uprising's participants were killed during the occupation.
